Punjab Halal Development Agency (PHDA) has been established by the Government of Punjab with the mandate to formalize the Halal sector i.e., Halal certifications, Halal business projection, capacity building, and compliance regime of Halal food safety standards together with branding Pakistan as “Halal Hub” before the World and opening new vistas for entering the Global Halal market while serving the domestic consumers.
PHDA is the only Public Sector Halal Certification Body accredited by the Pakistan National Accreditation Council (PNAC) and approved as Foreign Halal Certification Body (FHCB) by JAKIM, Malaysia. Since its inception PH DA is playing a significant role in the promotion of Halal Trade & Industry of Pakistan to achieve its due share in the multi trillion dollars Global Halal Market.
