PHDA is among the Pakistan the first Government Own Halal certification organizations established in the Islamic Republic which aims to provide a credible professional, competent and authoritative Halal Certification services to the industry and general. Punjab Halal Development Agency got established in 2012 through an Executive Order by the Government of Punjab. Subsequently The Punjab Halal Development Agency Act 2016 got approved by the Punjab Provincial Assembly on 6th December, 2016. Punjab Halal Development Agency got included in the Punjab Rules of Business on 2nd March, 2017. Punjab Halal Development Agency Rules 2017 got approved by the cabinet committee and notified by the Livestock & Dairy Development Department on 29th August, 2017
